Mission

The community of Benicia Middle School provides a safe and respectful learning environment where students are encouraged to meet their full potential as life-long learners and productive citizens.

Vision

Education is a shared process at Benicia Middle School. Our staff, students, parents, volunteers, and community work cooperatively to maintain a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment. We recognize the special needs of individual students. We are committed to each student’s individual personal safety, physical and emotional growth, and academic excellence.

Our 2024-2025 Goals (SPSA)

Sense of Belonging

  1. By June of 2025, 65% of students will feel a sense of belonging and have a positive view of the school climate as measured by the Spring 2025 REACH Survey.
  2. By June 2025, 50% of Benicia students will meet/exceed the standards, increasing student achievement and demonstrating progress towards mastery of the ELA and math standards, as measured by the 2025 CAASPP assessment.
  3. By June of 2025, subgroups with less than 40% of students meeting/exceeding standards will demonstrate an increase of 10% growth as measured by the 2025 CAASPP in ELA and Math.
