The Solano County Office of Education is excited to announce that it is hosting, in partnership with UC Davis C-STEM, two free GIRL Camps in June for our middle school girls in Solano County. These camps are focused on introducing and motivating middle school girls to learn computing and STEM concepts through a fun and robotics-based curriculum. In these five-day camps, the girls learn teamwork, communication and leadership skills. They will also be introduced to robotics, engineering and computer programming with a user-friendly RoboBlockly and Ch/C/C++ with a mock-up RoboPlay Challenge Competition.

These camps are open to any middle school girl in Solano County. There are two opportunities for them to join the five-day camp:

First Camp June 11-15 Solano Community College Fairfield

Second Camp June 18-22 Solano Community College Vallejo

Both camps are from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. To apply, click on this link https://goo.gl/forms/cSIb6IQybaQoS4Tt2
