The Staff at Benicia Middle School wants to be sure that Friday's celebration of Halloween is a fun and festive day. We expect learning to occur; we will enforce certain expectations. Students may choose to enjoy Halloween, recalling our dress code. We honor health and happiness without bringing: real or toy weapons; anything promoting drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violence, and gangs; no full face paint or masks; real or fake blood; suggestive clothing or behavior; chains; bandannas; baby bottles/pacifiers; graphics; or depicting anything inappropriate. Students may not pass out candy. As many options allow us to dress up, we should dress appropriately so that students do not have to change into PE clothes or return home with a parent to change. We look forward to fun and creative costumes.
